Cantina Diomede
According to legend, Canosa, formerly called Canusium, was founded by the Homeric hero Diomedes, known for his participation in the Trojan War.
The story goes that when Diomedes landed in Puglia, he used the stones of the walls of the conquered city to delimit the lands and fields thus acquired.
He planted the vines he had brought with him and it was from the cultivation and care of these vines that the "di Troia" grape variety was born.
It is in the heart of Diomedes’ fields that Cantina Diomede stands today.
